A Proven Intermediary
CareerRise is a workforce intermediary. We strategically connect the dots between employers, training providers, support services, job seekers and workforce funders to build partnerships and implement equitable workforce strategies in metro Atlanta.
What We Believe
Is to advance economic mobility and regional prosperity by creating and strengthening partnerships that meet employer needs for skilled talent and connect metro Atlanta residents to sustainable wage careers.
For Metro Atlanta to be a strong thriving equitable community with employees connected to good jobs.
What We Do
Led by local investors, CareerRise began as a regional funders collaborative through a grant from the National Fund for Workforce Solutions. Founded in 2011, we are the private-public product of a national movement to align workforce skills and opportunities with the needs of 21st Century employers. Our collaborative began by bringing local funders together around a shared strategic vision for workforce development in a 13-county region.
Our first investments in a healthcare industry partnership led to new initiatives in other in-demand industries with high growth trajectories. As our partnerships continued to grow and expand, we evolved into a local intermediary that convenes partners, advances systems change, catalyzes innovation, and builds local capacity in addition to funding and coordinating industry partnerships. We have seized opportunities to foster collaboration among diverse workforce service providers throughout the community, including co-founding the Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions (MAX), co-leading the Aerotropolis Atlanta Workforce Collective, joining the High Demand Career Initiative on behalf of the five local workforce boards, now known as our Industry Partnership Network and becoming the managing partner for Westside Works.
Our evolution continues in 2022 as we have submitted all documentation and are awaiting confirmation of our 501(c)3 status after being successfully managed by the United Way of Greater Atlanta for the first 11 years of our inception. As the organization continues to grow and expand, we hope that you will join us to ensure that Metro Atlanta has skilled employees with good jobs making it a strong community.
