Senior Vice President & Director, Workforce Development National Strategy and Execution at Bank of America

Serving on the Bank of America National Workforce Development leadership team, Kechi leads the bank’s national Workforce Development strategy and execution across nearly 100 markets. The bank’s Workforce Development efforts are centered on creating diverse talent pipelines to livable-wage jobs, leading to social and economic mobility in low-to-moderate income communities. Prior to this role, Kechi served as a Bank of America Leader on Loan for Unity Point Health (UPH), as the System Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Strategy Executive. In this role, Kechi centralized workforce development efforts, spearheading the development and implementation of UPH’s Enterprise Career Pathways Initiative and supported UPH’s Chief Diversity Officer in developing and advancing DEI strategy.

Kechi joined Bank of America in 2017, supporting the Global Real Estate (GRES) Client Strategy division. She later served as the GRES Enterprise Critical Vendor Manager, responsible for performance management of key vendor relationships across GRES. At the onset of the global pandemic, she assumed additional responsibilities serving as the Enterprise Disinfecting Strategy lead within the Enterprise Return to Office PMO, leading global pandemic response.

Kechi is passionate about serving in the community and has dedicated most of her career to community development initiatives focused on economic development and healthcare. She served over 10 years across the healthcare industry developing national strategies and driving strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Bank of America, Kechi served in a chief of staff capacity within the Chief Resource Officer division of Ascension Health driving strategic efforts in supply chain management. Additionally, Kechi served internationally, spearheading a global health and economic development initiative under Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital, delivering an economic sustainability program in rural Uganda.

Dedicated to ensuring diversity and inclusion and promoting global volunteerism at BofA, Kechi serves as a member of the Dallas/Fort Worth Market Advisory Council. Through this work, she continues to deepen and enhance community impact and engagement in her market. Kechi serves numerous hours every year in the community and has been awarded the bronze and silver Presidents Volunteer Service Award. Kechi is the co-chair for the Corporate Social Responsibility Employee Engagement Council, a member of BofA’s Enterprise LEAD for Women team, the NTX Black Executive Leadership team and a silver ally for the LGBT and Pride Network.

Kechi received her bachelor of science degree in political science and international relations from Manchester University and her master’s degree in business administration from Georgia Institute of Technology. Based in Frisco, Texas, she is a wife, and a mother of two lovely daughters.
